Product / Printer Model:  ?

Operating System:  ?

Software / Application:  ?

Connection Type:  ?

Content / File Type:  ?

Job type:  Print 5x7 on A4  OR Not Print 5x7 on A4

====================================================

If the mystery printer is stuck, perhaps try a power reset and check / update the firmware.

HP Printers - Printer Turns Off Unexpectedly or Repeatedly

Step 2: Restart the printer

Step 3: Update the Firmware

====================================================

What else?

Print Size is generally selected using Scale or the equivalent in the app / program you are using.

  • Scale is selected in the application or software.
  • The application / software tools depend on the Operating System / version.
  • The content type can impact which settings are available.
  • Mobile Apps vary -- For example, HP Smart tends to follow the paper size -- HP Smart - Mobile - iPadOS does include a manual size adjustment though sizing is not accurate due to the way the size is adjusted

.

Samples - Windows

Both Photos and HP Smart can print a selected print size on larger paper or print "Full Size".

General Example - Windows - HP Smart - Image Print - Selected Size

HP_Smart_Win_Simple_Photo_Print_Letter_4x6_2HP_Smart_Win_Simple_Photo_Print_Letter_4x6_2

Simple to use - Print Pictures  (Windows Photo Viewer) can print one or more photos on a paper -- photos can be same or different.  The number of photos allowed depends on the size of the paper and the choices made during configuration.  One or more sheets of paper are used depending on paper size and selected photo size.

Example - Print Pictures - Single or Multiple Photos on one or more sheets of paper
