Hi all, I'm looking for some help auto-provisioning our E100's, I've configured option 66 on my DHCP server and I can see that the when the device boots, it downloads my 000000000000.cfg.

When the E100 boots it seems to ignore the file and I still have to select the language, accept the EULA,  set the admin password and time zone

Below is the configuration I have. Could you take a look to see if I'm missing anything or if there is any reason the .cfg file should be fetched but ignored?

The only thing that jumps out in the phone's log is this:

1212125329|cfg |4|00|Prov|Master configuration file does not contain a configuration file list

Hello @MartynCH ,

Welcome to the HP Poly community.

Your logs clearly shows:

Master configuration file does not contain a configuration file list

From our VoIP FAQ:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: What is the relevance of the master configuration file 000000000000.cfg or <mac>.cfg?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The Master Configuration File does never contain any configuration. The config_files="" section contains the name(s) of the file(s) containing the configuration.

If no other volunteers reply, I suggest you contact our Support organization in your region. Details are in my Signature.

Best Regards

Thanks for the welcome, does that mean the way I've configured the file is no longer a valid way of this?

I aimed to accept EULA, set admin the password and place a team provisioning URL without the need to touch the device, one registered in Teams, the firmware would be upgraded there.

Thanks for the welcome and response.

Hello @MartynCH ,

we do not know how you configured your file as you have not shared your 000000000000.cfg so we could see if the master configuration file is configured correctly to download the file that contains your configuration.

The FAQ post shared outlines this.

So far you have only shared your configuration that needs to be downloaded via the 000000000000.cfg / Master Configuration file.

The 00000000000.cfg / Master Configuration file does not contain any actual configuration.

This has not changed since early 2000

Apologies, the section My Configuration is my 000000000000.cfg.  I should have said that instead of putting my configuration file.

Hello @MartynCH ,

Please read the FAQ, the 00000000000.cfg / master configuration file does not contain any configuration.

You can share your 00000000000.cfg just to clarify what is in it or if no other volunteers reply, I suggest you contact our Support organization in your region. Details are in my Signature.
