I have a fairly new X50 with TC8. I ran across a problem recently where we had external visitors in the lobby, and the TC8 said something like "Visitors waiting, view lobby" and it almost looked like the text was bold, but you couldn't click on it to view the lobby.

I've read other posts that say they had to use a mobile device or laptop to admit people to the lobby in unsupported configurations, or turn off the lobby for meetings that involve the Poly device, but can anyone tell me if there's a way to use the lobby with the X50 and TC8 and admit people waiting in the lobby?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Hello @PolyFan_NJ ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Both the communities Must Read First or Read 1st and if available the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow-up post should contain.

This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow-up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.

Unfortunately, your post fell a bit short of the above-explained requirements and we kindly ask you, therefore, to ensure to read these sections and ensure a reply (not Edit!) provides as much detail as possible

Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the FAQs listed in my signature for your convenience.

The best and quickest way forward is to contact our Support organisation as the community is run by volunteers only.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier

Hi Steffen, thank you for replying.  I checked the community home page and found the community guidelines and terms of use, but no FAQ.  I also see you mention an FAQ "Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the FAQs listed in my signature for your convenience." but I don't see any links in your reply.  Can you point me in the right direction?

I would like to adhere to the guidelines and see if any members here can help me out with my question.

Thanks!

Hi Steffen, I checked the community home and I did not see any pinned messages. I do see the pinned posts in the "Microsoft UC Platforms" where the original post is.

I will review them and post back if I still need help.

It was not necessary to add "It could not be clearer...."  Your comment was not friendly or helpful.  You could have linked to the FAQs like your original reply said.  You make me not want to purchase Poly products for my organization.

I recommend you take a more customer service friendly approach when helping people. Do not assume it's obvious to them.

Hello @PolyFan_NJ

all the information is where I state it should be aka within the Microsoft UC Platforms

  1. [FAQ] Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business frequ..
  2. MUST READ FIRST: Welcome to the Poly Microsoft Tea.

In addition, the links you requested are in my signature so no need to re-post again as they are there already.

I am only a volunteer in this community (also detailed in my signature) and without providing any details it is hard to try and help.

The Poly community is not a replacement for our official support organization and if you need help with a product I suggest contacting support directly.

Also may be worth contacting Microsoft as they supply the App that is running on ours and competitors' Android bars so you get an answer on the actual issue.

Best Regards

Hi @PolyFan_NJ,

sorry to say, but unfortunately, it is not possible to show the lobby or even to admit people waiting for the meeting. The MTR Android App does not allow that so far. Maybe it comes in future, keep an eye on the Microsoft roadmap for MTR.

Thank you mshu for the answer!  I appreciate you taking the time to reply.  I'll keep an eye out and maybe make a recommendation to Microsoft.  I'm sure we're not the only company who could use this feature.
