Keyboard not working replaced and it worked through a few reboots. Then i noticed that, although the power light was off , the caps, mute, wifi and num lock LED's were on. When i held the power button for greater than 15 sec, all LED's went off except num lock.  Numlock stays even when the machine is off. When then hold the power button for greater than 30sec numlock key light turns off.

If i remove batt and adapter, then plug in adapter the caplock lights then num, mute and wife keys light, then keyboard backlights. They keyboard does not process any key input, and after a steady state is reached the condition of no OS, all keys are off except mute, wifi and numblock. I have an external keyboard i then attach a usb keyboard and can navigate the system startup menus. Nothing Ive tried has fixed the keyboard issue and the lights have not changed their lighting pattern.

Please dont tell me to buy a nee keyboard this is new, dont tell my mb needs to be replaced because i have double checked v-i values at the kb controller, cleaned terminals, blah blah...
