HP Recommended
e62555dn
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Office has an HP e62555dn MFP. Device is used for Copy, Print, Scan, and Fax.

SMTP is configured to their Office 365 acount frontdesk@company.legal

Firmware is latest available online from HP.

Scan to email works great. Incoming faxes are set to archive to the frontdesk@ email. This works great. When faxing from the machine, a confirmation is emailed to the frontdesk@ email. This works without error.

Office uses the HP SendFax driver to send faxes from desktop. These go through and can be seen in the fax log.

Within the SendFax driver, users request to receive an email confirmation.

This confirmation is NOT received, and in the MFP event log, we see SMTP Protocol Error.

We tested using a GMAIL SMTP server, and all is successful. Are there any settings in Office 365, or at the MFP, that would cause just this protion of the email to fail from Office 365?

Being a lawfirm, we would prefer all email go through their Office365.
