HP OFFICEJET PRO 8600 PLUS
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

PRINTER switches on, then the Red X appears and screen says "improper shutdown " and says "to avoid damage" etc.

I always shutdown by pressing the on/off button. I don't understand why this message keeps appearing?

So I press OK then a new message says "Paper Jam" followed by the message "to open the rear access panel and the front cover" etc.

I have done all this and there is no paper or debris in there.

I have cleaned all the rollers and checked behind the ink cartridge housing and there is nothing to jam the PRINTER.

I have done a reset by taking the cable out of the back and unplugging it for the recommended 2-3 minutes etc and it doesn't clear the error.

I have performed a factory reset on the front home screen/settings.

Printer says factory reset has been performed but PRINTER is still doing the above error!

Can you help please?

Thank you.
