Product: EliteBook 8740p
Operating System: Linux
I reset the bios in the bios setup, and after reboot I can't accept the screen that asks if if it can reset the fingerprint scanner (F1 to accept of F2 to deny).
I have tried to reboot and also get back into the bios but all options lead to that particular reset fingerprint question

Same problem here - on the same model, in fact. Let me add that I just did a BIOS update prior to the reset, using the latest driver from the HP site.
For now, my laptop is a dead weight. Any help is much appreciated.
