One of the warehouse techs brought me an Elitebook 8770w.
I installed a 256GB mSATA and installed W10 64-bit.
I just added 2 750GB SATA drives and now the system will not boot.
Keeps saying BOOTMGR is missing.
Does anyone know if this configuration will work???
Thanks.

You can use that 256 gig mSATA as the bootdisk but the minute you add a conventional hard drive the BIOS will only go to that hard drive to find boot files; I mean it will only boot from a 2.5 inch drive once one is installed.
You might see if maybe it will boot to the mSSD if there is only a 2.5 inch disk in the secondary bay and not one in the primary bay.

Just to let you know I tried every combination and I could not get it to boot from the mSATA with any other drive installed.
So I just decided to install a 256GB SSD as boot drive.
Second drive is a 1TB and I just decided to keep the 256GB m SATA installed.
Added 16GB memory and turned it over to the Ebay department.
Thanks for the help.
