Zbook Studio G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Last month I received a refurbished ZBook Studio as a replacement for a Zbook 15 G1 that had a failing Dreamcolor panel. When I attempt to install the Dreamcolor software (SP76785), I get the following message:

"A DreamColor - enabled ZBook G3 class system is required to install this software."

I contacted Technical Support about this and they could not determine why the error was occuring. The panel itself has the Dreamcolor sticker affixed in the corner, and measures to the specifications for the Dreamcolor option in the quickspecs for this model.

The system shows a strange model number in the bios - 818644R, which is different than what is printed on the bottom of the machine, M6V80AV. I wonder if this is somehow causing the installer to think I do not have a model that supports the software? Does anyone else have a refurbished system with a Dreamcolor panel, with the software installed and working?

Same problem here. Got a refurbished zBook 17 G3. Dream color sticker applied on the upper right of the display. When trying to install Hp Dream Color Assistant, got an error looking like this: "a dream color - enabled zbook g3 class system is required to install this software".

More than that, the right part of the screen is magenta, the left part is ok. I guess the color uniformity problem requires a new display alltogether.

Just curious if you found an answer to your question. I ordered a refurbished HP Zbook 17 G3 with DreamColor and have the same question. All I can tell from Device Manager is that I have a Generic PnP monitor. Can't setup the HP DreamColor Assistant as it says I do not have a DreamColor enabled Zbook G3 class system.
