Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an I understand that you have an HP Pavilion 10-k010ca x2 Detachable laptop and it stops to work after a few minutes of loading into Windows.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Has this been an issue from day 1?
  • Any updates or software's that were installed after which this issue may have started?
  • Did you perform any diagnostics?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Power off the laptop.
  • Disconnected AC adapter and other USB devices (if connected) from the laptop.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Plug the AC adapter.
  • Power ON the laptop.

Please test the performance. If the issue persists then let us run a hardware test on the laptop using the below steps:

  • Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.

  • Turn on the computer and immediately press the F2 key repeatedly, about once every second.

  • The HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu is displayed.

HP PC Hardware Diagnostic UEFI screen

  • Select Component test.

  • Please run a test on the Hard Drive.
  • If there are no errors found on the hard drive then initiate a System Board test - The System Board Test checks your system to make sure the components on the system board are functioning properly. Click System Board, then Run once.

You may also refer to the HP step by step troubleshooter guide for further troubleshooting.

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know. Cheers! 🙂
