My laptop won't charge. It's plugged in, the charge cord is brand new, but nothing is happening and the battery is drained so I can't turn it on. This happened last week, and using the hard reset steps, I was able to charge and turn the computer. However I've run into the same problem today and the hard reset isn't working this time. Does anyone know what the problem might be or how to fix it? Thanks!!

Hi,

When you plug in the charger do the leds come on that the computer is attached to power outlet?

When the computer is plugged in does it start (even without battery)?

Let me know,

David

Hey,
No, the leds don't come on showing that it's plugged in. And it won't start, with or without the battery, when it's plugged in. The battery indicator will just flash a few times when I try to turn it on.
Thanks!

Hi Lisa,

It could be that the charger is defective. If you have someone around or your local electronics store can check if it is providing current.

Have you tried a different wall socket?

It could that the receiving plug on the PC has come loose and needs ti be replaced or resoldered.

Let me know,

David

Thanks David!

It's not the charger or the socket, I'm sure of that. I'll look into the receiving plug issue you suggested in case that needs to be repaired.

Thank you!
Lisa
