HP Z22n monitor
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When I connected my new HP EliteBook which runs MS Windows 7 Enterprize 64bit to the new HP Z22n external monitor, the monitor screen began to intermittently start flashing off for about 3 seconds to a black screen. It continues to do that especially if I'm on windows 365 email or doing anything other than just alowing the screen to sit idle. I have tried another much older Toshiba laptop runing windows 10 and have no issues at all. I have even tried a docking station and different cords to pair up the 2 HP devices with no change. The Black screen continues to pop up, off and on.  Any suggestions? Help?

Hi,

What model  Elitebook Notebook do you have?

I would recommend updating the BIOS and Video driver for your Notebook

Seems the issue is not with external Monitor if it works fine with a different notebook.

you also do not mention if the monitor is connected directly to the laptop or via a dock. if a dock, then there has been 2 dock f/w updates that solve some of the problems you describe

let us know and provide more details, please
