When running memory diagnostic tests, I get a failure where the logs point to "Channel Num 0 DIMM Num 1" - but nothing about which of the four slots contains the failing DIMM.
Where can I find documentation that translates this Channel/DIMM numbering scheme to Slot Numbers 1-4 or physical slot locations (Primary or Expansion) mentioned in the service manual?
I've tried to keep this question brief and to the point, but I can provide more detail if necessary.

I resorted to a trial-and-error approach of swapping DIMMs and running memory diagnostic tests to find the bad DIMM. It was time-consuming (especially where I had to keep removing the optical drive and keyboard to get to the Primary slots), but I was eventually able to determine that I had TWO bad DIMMs, replaced those with new ones, and I'm back up and running with 32GB.
I never did get an answer about translating Diagnostics DIMM numbering to physical slot locations, but I managed to learn more through my testing. Here is what I was able to determine:
DIAGNOSTICS PHYSICAL
Channel #? / DIMM #0 Primary Slot #1
Channel #? / DIMM #0 Primary Slot #2
Channel #1 / DIMM #1 Expansion Slot #1
Channel #0 / DIMM #1 Expansion Slot #2
This really ought to be documented somewhere, and maybe I just wasn't able to find the right document. I hope this information helps someone else.

When you're down to two just swap them one at a time with the two you've already removed.

Yes, the computer itself is actually under warranty, but I had purchased and installed 4 x 8GB Crucial-brand DIMMs myself to upgrade the factory-installed 8GB memory to 32GB total. I did submit a support case (not for warranty service), but haven't yet received a definitive answer to my question.
Here is one guess on how Diagnostics DIMM numbers might map to physical slot locations:
DIAGNOSTICS PHYSICAL
DIMM #0 Primary Slot #1
DIMM #1 Primary Slot #2
DIMM #2 Expansion Slot #1
DIMM #3 Expansion Slot #2
Is this mapping scheme correct?
