Spectre
My computer was not charging and after it got below 10% it shut down. Now, with everything plugged in, when I press the power button all I get is 3 flashes from the little light by where the chord plugs in to the computer. It won't Starr or seems not to be charging. If I take it to the HP center in Prague will they be able to fix it?

@Moiraec

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.

I understand that you have an HP Spectre laptop powered off as the battery drained out even though the charger was plugged in. The laptop does not power on since then and the LED ight flashes three times when you make an attempt to power it on. Before you reachout to HP Prague, you can try the below workaround.

I would like to know if any other changes (hardware or software) took place on the laptop after which this issue may have started. Also, please let me know the exact product model no. This link will help you to find the model no: http://hp.care/2bygf7l

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Let the laptop remain powered off.
  • Disconnected AC adapter and any other cables from the laptop.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Connect the ac adapter to a different wall outlet and then connect the other end to the laptop.
  • Power ON the laptop.

If the issue persists then you may try to use an alternate ac adapter (if available). Feel free to let me know the outcome. Cheers! 🙂
