Same here.  I have tied 15-20 times to install.  Installation fails everytime.  Doesn't give me a reason or error code.

Have you attempted to download the BIOS update directly from the FTP site?

 

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp76001-76500/sp76267.exe

 

Once you download the file, locate it in your download folder.  Right click on the SoftPaq and click on "Run an Administrator" and follow the prompts.

On the HP System BIOS Update Utility, the first option "Update" is greyed out with this message below "This BIOS update is blocked on this device."  What does that mean?

Something happened since I posted the first time and now The HP Support Assistant does not show an update as available. and the caution symbol is gone.  It did something on its own or one of my tries worked without me realizing it.  Thanks anyway.
