HP Elitebook 1020 G1

My laptop has faulty memory. The memory is permanently fixed to the motherboard so it cannot be easily replaced by me.

According to the warranty check, I have an active "HP Bundled Hardware Offsite Support" but I'm not quite sure what that means. I opened a case and explained the issue, and they got back to me claiming my laptop was out of warranty, and directed me to contact the HP sales team to purchase new memory.

What I find staggering here is that HP's customer support doesn't even know their own products. How can I purchase new memory when I have no way to fit it?

Can somebody please explain what "HP Bundled Hardware Offsite Support" actually covers? I am getting absolutely nowhere with HP's support.

I spent a fortune on this laptop and I'm so very disappointed to find it has barely lasted just over a year and HP's support has so far been entirely unhelpful.
