on my keyboard when i type some of the letters get replaced by numbers

hi,when i type some of the letters get replaced by numbers. it works fine when i use the on screen keyboard and when i use external key board. For ex when i type a i get 1 ans when i type s i get 2. i have switched off numlock and it is not helping.
