Thanks for the reply,
but how do you mean that they are totaly different products and internal designs?
They both are high end workstations.
And they share the same PSU, CPU heat-sinks, air shroud and fan assembly, expansion card cover, drive caddys etc.
I know that they are different generations of CPU architecture with supporting chipset.
I want to know if z840 system board can fit phisicaly in z820 case and if not, why (different layout of the holes to attach system board, rerouted cables, something needs to be cut and such kind of issues)?
