Hi
I am using the HP Device Manager 4.7 SP6 with HP T520 ThinClients (Win10).
The Discovery Part works great, all Clients are seen and appear automatic in the console. No Firewall is active (Disabled on Server and Disabled on ThinClient). At the moment no AntiVirus Software is installed (Testing purpouse).
Now, every Time a send a Task to the ThinClients, the ThinClients executes the Task and then does a reboot. After the reboot the Settings done by the task are not set. For a example a got a "_Apply Settings" Task that changes the Keyboard Layout to "German". So again, I send this task to the ThinClient executes the task and in the HP Device Manager Console I see the entry "1 (100%) Finished - Color: Green". Now the ThinClient does a Reboot and after the reboot the Keyboard layout is again back to EN/US.
So how can I deploy a "Apply Setting" Task so that the setting will be set for ever?
Regards
Hans

Hey Hans,
Sounds like the task isn't turning off the Write Filter first, rebooting, then excuting the task.
Firstly, check in Tools>Configuration>Task Parameters and ensure the Write Filter Policy Setting is set to:
"If Write Filter on, reboot to clean overlay, execute...... etc"
If that's already set, try creating a new "Template Sequence", first task will be Write Filter settings set to Disable, then add the task you want, then another Write Filter setting but this time to Enabled, it should restart the Thin Client twice.
If you want copy and paste the log of the task you sent that didn't stick, there might be a clue in there.
