Product: Z820
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

 

I just did a fresh install of Windows 10 64Bit on another partition. Whenever I try to restart my Z820 within Windows 10, the workstation restarts and on the BIOS the LSI SAS Controller gets stuck initializing the drives and then after a lot of time it doesn't find any of the Hard Drives. When I do a cold boot after, everything works fine. I don't have the same problem on my Windows 7 64bit Partition doing a Reboot from within the OS. Does anyone have any idea what can cause this and how to fix it?

 Only thing I can think of is that the partition on the Win10 drive is formatted differently than the Win7. (One using a GPT the other using an BMR?)

This would be something we'd need to play about with in the lab.

Give Workstation support a call and ask to have 2LS give you a hand.

I just purchased a refurbished Z820 and installed Windows 10 on it. The SAS controller will not work.  I have yet to find a working Windows 10 driver for the LSI SAS 2308 controller(I've tried the SAS drivers for Win 7, 8, and 8.1 with no success). If anyone can help, please let me know.
