The Printer  "HP DesignJet Z6200 Photo Production Printer" is starting up right away, then acquires an IP address via DHCP, but pinging the shown address is impossible: no answers.

Within configuration it says what is expected: correct IP, netmask and gateway. But no answer pinging this address, even if the PC/Laptop and the printer are on the same network segment, only a dump switch in between. I've tried to configure this address manually but without success: the printer will not react to ping packets. It is not reachable by http/https either.

Firmware is: KHN_03_07_07.1 -- the only one available for this printer.

Trying to access the printer using USB leads to "no device found" messages from the printer driver installer. Installing manually, selecting the printer from presented lists leads to "Printer not connected" messages.

Any idea how to have this printer work again? It did until Friday, May, 3rd 2024.

First thing I would try would be a factory reset on the device. Might be a glitch in the settings, it does happen and a reset is one of the first things to try.

The printer got an incorrect response from DHCP configuring a non working tpc/ip configuration. The problem is solved now.
