Any suggestions on getting the HP Designjet T730 to print in black, right now the diagnostic page prints black but when we print a pdf no black shows and its like a purple color and the same file will print correct on the T920 printer

If the test page prints properly I would suspect a driver setting issue as your output suggests that you are printing composite black and not true black. One thing to try to narrow it down is to take the T920 offline and change the IP address of the T730 so that the print driver you are using for the T920 sends the job to the T730. If it prints correctly then you now you have a driver issue and need to check driver settings or reinstall.
