I want to know if the ASUS Essence STX II is compatible with this pc. I'm not sure if windows is 32 or 64 bit. If not can you suggest another quality sound board as I am looking for audiophile quality.

Greetings @Paul117,

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are looking to know if you can install an ASUS Essence STX II sound card on your computer. Happy to help.

Have you checked the specifications of your computer?

I am unable to find the specifications of your computer with the product number provided by you. Request you to provide the product number of your computer again. Refer to this HP Article for assistance.

Based on the specifications shared on the ASUS website. The sound card requires a PCI Express slot. For me to be able to confirm whether the sound card is compatible or not, I would need to check the motherboard specifications of your computer, for which I require the exact product number of your computer.

However, request you to check if there is enough space on your computer to install the card or not.

Let me know if this helped.

If the information I've provided was helpful,

Good Luck.
