Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Pavilion- 550-165d Desktop.

I understand that you want to configure the boot order in BIOS and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

  • Turn on or restart the computer.
  • While the display is blank, press the f10 key to enter the BIOS settings menu.
  • Select the Advanced tab using the right and left arrow keys.
  • Use the up and down arrow keys to select Boot Order.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to change the boot order.

Click here to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps mentioned above to fix this issue.

If the issue is resolved and you appreciate my help,

Please click the "Accept as Solution" button and the "Thumbs Up".

Let me know how you make out.

Cheers.
