I have owned my HP Envy 700-074 for several years. I have updated to Windows 10 sometime ago as well as putting in 32 gb ram and updated video card. I rarely have a problem except lately. I shut my computer down at night and restart in AM. The computer reboots and comes on and looks ready to go except neither the wireless mouse or keyboard will operate. I can't even use the Control Alt delete key. I have to turn it off by pressing the on/off button. When I went to hardware and checked out the mouse I have this as an error: "Device HID\VID_056A&PID_0357&MI_00&Col01\8&3b97da4b&1&0000 requires further installation." My computer and devices are up-to-date. Once I restart the computer both the keyboard and mouse works. This has just started in the last few months. Any suggestions or should I be concerned about my computer crashing?

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand there are wireless mouse troubles on your HP Envy 700-074,
Don't worry, the message/error you've mentioned represents a corrupted driver and since its related to your USB device,
I recommend you delete the USB Root hubs and the drivers for both keyboard and mouse using the device manager (do not uninstall, delete them).
Once it's removed, restart the computer and then install the drivers using the Official HP website to download the latest drivers.
Everything should work fine once the above steps are done.
Let me know how that pans out,
Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,
