HP Envy 700 PC Series

Product No: D6M07AV#ABA

Model No: 700-010xt

I had a problem with my CD/DVD driver, so I found that one solution to fix the problem was to unistall the IDE ATA/ ATAPI controllers and reinstall it, I unistall it and then I shutdown the PC but when I start it  I'm getting now only a black screen.

I checked the power in the monitor and the cables, I have the HDMI and the digital cable connected to the monitor and both ports have the same black screen, then I tried with another monitor and still the same, also I connected the HDMI cable to my TV and also I'm getting a black screen.

I turn off the PC then disconnect the power cable and press the start button to reset the PC, i can see the light in the PC, then I connect back the power cable to the PC and start the PC again and still the same, then I restared the PC and press constantly "ESC" key to access the BIOS but I only see the black screen in the monitor and TV, also i tried to F10 to access the BIOS but i was not able.

Could you let me know if I'm doing something wrong to access the BIOS and/or in my troubleshooting steps?

@Riddle_Decipher

Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately I did not mention that I have a desktop not a notebook, I tried the link for the HP Desktop - recovering the BIOS and looks like my desktop does not have this option.

I removed the video card and check that it was connected properly and also I used the DVI port that is in the motherboard and still have the black screen

Thanks for your help and time.

@jordihp, Thanks for the response.

Thanks for trying out the steps.

As you mentioned that issue still persists after troubleshooting.

It is a hardware issue, Please contact HP for service options.
