Hello

Boot PC and tap "esc" key to enter Startup Menu, then slect Setup (BIOS). Then select reset BIOS to defaults from main menu, then save, exit, and reboot.

See if this fixes problem.

Hello,

Your PC is around seven years old. If original components still used then power supply or motherboard or BIOS ROM chip is probably acting up and one is on road to fail. Sounds like power on self test (POST) is having a rough time completing.

Can you explain what "stuck on the BIOS" screen is? Do you mean HP logo or something else?

Only connect keyboard/mouse/monitor and try again. Try mouse/keyboard in front USB ports. Then only connect monitor to PC and see if it POST and load windows okay.

What happens if you restart PC after windows loads? Does it do same thing?

Hello

So it is only cold boot that cause slow startup to windows?

I think it could be power supply. That is where I would start.

Have you tried just connect monitor? Try and then plug in mouse when windows starts so you can shut down right.

Try reset BIOS to default when restart windows because it works okay.

Tap F10 to get to BIOS screen.

Go to Exit.

Select Load Setup Defaults.

Then save and exit and restart PC.
