HP Envy 700-329
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Burned a 64bit Lubuntu 16.04 ISO to DVD...

Inserted disc-->shutdown computer-->held down Esc key while powering on to get to boot menu

Pressed F9-->selected UEFI BDDVD

Was shown the Ubuntu grub menu

Selected Ubuntu Live CD

Ten minutes later, I was still looking at a blank screen

Had to hard stop the computer as there is apparently no reset button

Anyone have a solution?

I'm guessing this is UEFI or Secure boot related

Brutal

Hi:

In order to boot from a DVD on your PC, you have to enable legacy mode and disable secure boot.
