AIO TouchSmart 610-1280qd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My AIO was working perfectly until just last week. It then started hanging at the initial HP logo screen or the following black screen that shows the cpu/cache, memory, and bios version information. The Press the ESC key for startup Menu is displayed on the black screen but pressing that button does nothing. I confirmed that the HP wireless keyboard is working because I can see the blue light of the receiver respond when I press a key. Also, if I repeatedly press ESC when it is powering up, I'll get "Startup Menu" displayed on that same black screen, but then nothing further happens. I'll get similar messages in the lower left when pressing other Funtion keys (F10 will display "Setup",  F12=Network Boot, F11=System Recovery, etc). I'll get "Keyboard Error" when repeatedly pressing F2, displayed below the system information on the black screen. So clearly it looks like the keyboard is funtional. However, the PC never does anything beyond the point of the black boot screen.

I've replaced the CMOS battery (even though I just replaced it 6 months ago). Nothing seems to get me past this screen. I pull the CMOS battery out, with the power removed from the PC, pressed the power button for 30 seconds and then powered back up. It stops at the same point. I've tried booting from a USB thumb drive that has recovery tools on it (Acronis TrueImage running on Windows PE) which was previously tested on this PC (and works on my other PC's). Nothing. It just hangs at the boot black screen.

The only thing I know is different is there were a bunch of Windows 10 updates (1607) that were loaded this last week before this started occuring. However, the machine was booted several times after that with no issues.

I would appreciated any assistance you can offer. I can see where the BIOS jumpers on the motherboard, but I can find no information on how to do a hard CMOS reset on this HP Inglewood, Quantis WJ1 motherboard....and I don't know if that would fix the issue anyway, but it's something worth trying.
