I bought my wife a new HP OPP All In One for christmas (20-c020) and it is running painfully slow. I saw that it only has 4 GB of RAM, and the pamphlet it came with stated that because it is the AMD I can only upgrade to 8GB using 2 modules. So, I bought the recomended modules, and opened it up to install them. There is only one slot. 😕
Guess I'll be sending those back...
What memory type can this computer really take since the pamphlet is wrong, and can it hopefully use more than 8GB?
On a side note, if it is still slow with the max, since I bought it several months ago, is there an option to trade up to a newer/better HP? This is currently running slower than her 7yr old laptop I was trying to replace was, and I am hoping the memory is the issue.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to HP Support Forum. Sorry, I don't know where did you get information from but from its specs, it ONLY has
- Single channel memory architecture
- One DDR3L SODIMM (204-pin) socket
- Supports up to PC3L-12800 (DDR3L-1600)
- Supports 2 GB, 4 GB, and 8 GB SODIMMs
- Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
note:
32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory. - Supports up to 8 GB on 64-bit systems
In short: it only has one slot and supports 8GB max.
Regards.
