Hello, I have a Compaq CQ5210Y Desktop PC, Motherboard is a M2N68-LA (Narra5) AM2+ Socket. it has 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD, Windows 10 Home, Nvidia Geforce iNNo3D 2GB graphics card, connected by HDMI to a Vizio 47" flatscreen (not smart tv) and 500 watt power supply. This tower was given to me, and I would like to set it up to be my streaming PC. ***NO GAMING***  just Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, etc... Simple 1080p. I have looked all over and keep seeing different CPU selections... I did look at HP's site and this is what they gave me...

Only socket AM2+ processors are supported with this motherboard.

AMD Phenom II Quad-Core
AMD Phenom II Triple-Core
AMD Phenom Quad-Core (A) 9xxx series (AM2+)
AMD Phenom Triple-Core (T) 8xxx series (AM2+)
AMD Athlon X4
AMD Athlon X3
AMD Athlon X2 (B) (AM2+)

But then I look around and people are saying others are compatible.. I just simply want to know which one is the best. I do also like to multitask, so has to be able to handle a few windows open at a time while music etc... is playing. I would appreciate if someone could give me *1* solid answer, which one is the best. Thank you in advance....!!!!!

HI.

The maximum you can place the AMD + 2 socket is a Phenom II X4.

A phenom II x4 b99 3.3Ghz processor (hdxb99wfk4dgm) is the max for that board.

The B99 is hard to find though.
