I just bought this computer refurbished. I have a Canon printer that is WiFi, but it requires initial connection through a printer port. I cannot locate this port on the computer. Any suggestions?

Hi,
As mentioned above, the printer ONLY has
Wireless LAN (IEEE 802.11b/g/n)
USB 2.0 Hi-Speed
PictBridge (Cable not included)
Bluetooth® v2.0 (Optional)
I don't know what is the sqaure port because it is NOT an HP printer. The specs also says:
PictBridge (Cable not included)
Again, it is not an HP printer but normal computers DO NOT have PicBridge port. I used to use PicBridge to print but Diretly from a camera, not from computers. Again, please contact Canon.
Regards.

Hi,
What is your Slimline 450, must be 450-xxx for example

What is your printer ? How do you connect it now ? Do you still keep the CD which came with your printer ?
Regards.

It's a 450-a30. I have a Canon MX410 WiFi printer that requires a wired connection for initial setup. I have had this printer for about 5 years and always had a printer port ... until now. You ask how I connect it now?...That's what I'm asking. How can it connect through the cable for the initial setup? And, no, I no longer have the CD. There are USB ports galore, but no printer port.

Hi,
Canon MX410 is not an HP product. Please download software and drivers from the following link and install to your computer:
My WiFi Canon printer won't need to connect to any wired connection to setup.
Otherwise, please try
Regards.

I downloaded as you suggested. The first thing that came up was "connect a cable". Obviously, I had to cancel the process. Now...is there an accessory that can accept a printer cable? WHY IS THERE NO PRINTER PORT???

USB 2.0 Hi-Speed
PictBridge (Cable not included)

I don't think you need ANY printer port except USB. Your computer has all standard USB ports. Do you use wireless router to connect ? Have you tried USB cable ?
The following option is for HP printers. This may work with your printer otherwise you need to contact Canon to get a right port for Canon printers

The PRINTER already has the port. It's your COMPUTER that doesn't!!!!!! Even if it WAS my old HP printer, it would still need to have a connection port (square, NOT USB) to run!!! This thing has 6 USB ports that are absolutely useless for a printer.

Sir, I owe you a HUGE apology! I have so many cords running from my Pavilion P6 (no longer works), that I found I followed the wrong one to the printer. Again, I'm so sorry. Thank you so much for your patience with me. I now have my printer working again.
