Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista (64-bit)

Fan cponstantly runs fast

Norton security

google chrome

nvidia

Windows vista

have blown out all dust and openings and it ran fine for a short while

If everything seems to work OK but a fast fan, then that might mean the CPU is getting hot, or the sensor is failing. 

Download HWMonitor by CPUID to verify the CPU temperature.  If it is high, then perhaps the heat sink thermal paste needs to be renewed.
