Ok, if you folks could forgive my blunt question here.  My eyes tend to glaze over with all technical info in regard to power supplies.

Anyway, I have an m9510f, and I'm looking for a 550w power supply.  Any suggestions on something that'll fit?

Hi banicassalam,

The links that you posted are all dead.

The Corsair CX600 is a quality power supply should work well in your PC.

I too am looking for replacement power supplies. I would like to upgrade a Media Center m8200n, and a media center m8120n. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Sorry to ask such a specific question, but I haven't cracked a case in years and don't want to mess things up!

I have:

Pavillion d4996t

I want to get:

EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti FPB 1024 MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 2DVI/Mini-HDMI SLI Ready Limited Lifetime Warranty Graphics Card, 01G-P3-1561-AR

I already chatted with HP so that should fit.  But...need a new power supply.

Would this fit?

Corsair Builder Series CX V2 500-Watt 80 Plus Certified Power Supply Compatible with Intel and AMD Platforms - CMPSU-500CXV2

Would I need any special connectors?  Right now I only have one internal HD, the vid card, a Read/Write burner and a CD reader.

Thanks so much for any advice!  I can't afford a new system yet, and I'm waiting, but my games are lagging and crashy...

Hi,

I successfully upgraded my power supply and video card on a HP p6710f desktop approx. 1 year ago.

What about doing same with the desktops that HP offers at this time?

The ones I'm seeing now are the P2 and P6 desktops at Office Depot, Staples etc., for example:

p2-1120, p6-2100

... are these power-supply and graphics cards upgradable (as before w/ the p6710f)?

Thanks,

-Gary K

Hi egkor,

The HP p2-1120 doesn't have a video card slot.

The HP p6-2100 has a video card slot and a standard ATX power supply.  There shouldn't be an issue with a video card or PSU upgrade if done with reasonable limits for the HP mid-tower cabinet.

Hi rudedog11 and Sherana,

The HP m8100n has a 300 watt power supply (PSU).  Review these specifications.

The 300 watt PSU with limit your choices for a video card, depending on what applications are in need of improved video performance.

What are your critical video applications?

Are you open to replacing the PSU?

What is your budget amount?

Review this posted document for background information.
