I purchased a HP Pavilion Desktop 510 p127c for my son and would like to know which generation the PCI Express x16 slot is. 1.0? 2.0? 3.0? I need to know this in order to upgrade the video card (I know they're backward compatible, but I don't want to waste money on a 3.0 card if this system only has a 1.0 or 2.0 generation slot. The Motherbard is a Willow motherboard and the specs on HP's site are: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05281246
But the generaton of the PCI slot is not given. Is there some marking on the motherboard itself that would tell me? Thanks to anyone who can help!

While not a direct answer but the link posted shows a Radeon R7 450 is present in that PC. From the AMD site, the R7 450 PCI EXPRESS Version 3.0. It would therefore make sense the motherboard is a PCI Express x16 3.0.
To reinforce that conclusion, I found on this site:
https://www.techpowerup.com/226010/hp-socket-am4-a320-chipset-oem-motherboard-pictured
In that page they state:
Other noteworthy features include two DDR4 DIMM slots, a PCIe gen 3.0 x16 slot, a short M.2 slot, a couple of SATA 6 Gb/s ports, and basic connectivity.
I'm not an HP employee.
