HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p055
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hi

i have just bought a HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p055na and is it possible to add an extra hard drive?

I am migrating from another pc and it will be easier just to add the other hard drive rather than copying everything across.

the hard drive is a 1tb with no operating system, its just a back up drive for photos and documents etc

any help would be most welcome

thanks

HERE IS THE MANUAL for that PC.  If yours looks the same inside, it would appear to be NO, it does not have an extra bay.  The pictorial view of where the hard drive is located, it is not a typical drive bay and appears to be mounted on a panel.  It might be possible to piggyback a drive in the location of the original drive, but certainly not advised from HP.  A mounting bracket would be needed to do that and doubtful HP would recommend that.

An external enclosure for the hard drive being considered as the most logical alternative.
