DA,

I would like to add a WD 4TB hdd to my HP a4315f desktop. The motherboard is M2N89-LA (Violet6).

When I format the hdd in "Disk Management", the computer only shows "1677GB" for the 4TB drive (Convering this to MBR disk, shows 1678GB, converting this to GPT disk, shows 1677.90GB).

I don't see any update for this motherboard after 2010 (bios).

Does this motherboard sopport 4TB drive at all? Or there is possibility to fix this issue?

Please advice.

Regards,

Werkgg

Motherboard BIOS for one as old as yours won't support a 4TB hard disk.

Sorry, but your Violet6  motherboard is unlikely to ever receive an update allowing it to support 4TB hard disks.
