Does anyone know if HP support site will be posting BIOS upgrades for Windows 10 under the tab of "Windows 10 xxbit"?
Not having a Windows 10 drop down to support Windows 10 for BIOS updates is a security concern. Can anyone pass this on?

Hi:
HP does not support any PC made before August of 2013 for W10.

I have two 8200 Elite CMT's running W10 just fine, and I updated the BIOS by using the F10 Flash method so it doesn't matter what operating system you are running.
I never flash the BIOS's in my HP business desktops using the windows based flash.
I would not update the BIOS beyond v2.28 because 2.29 has a negative impact on PC's running W10 as you can see from this discussion below.
To update the BIOS, download and run the W7 BIOS update. Again, I would use the v2.28 file, (unless you want to join the group of folks that have problems with 2.29 and W10).
An information window will open after you run the file, and you want to read the instructions under the Startup Menu / F10 Setup BIOS Flashing section.
Format your USB flash drive in FAT32, and copy the contents of the DOS flash folder to your flash drive.
It's easy as pie.

Thanks for the update. I'll stick with bios version 2.28. Thanks also for the 2013 cut off date information. I've flashed bios on many computers - with only one bad outcome (required a new motherboard after a smart fan failure on a store own bios). Needless to say this experience has made me reluctant to install a new version on other computers unless needed. Thanks for your quick answer.

You're very welcome.
It seems that if you do install v2.29, you can overcome the slow boot time by turning off the TPM in the BIOS, but like the one other person wrote, if you need to use bitlocker, you are out of luck.
So, to me the fix is to leave it at v2.28 and everything works just fine.
