I'm trying to get this old tower pc to be able to run games and heard a lot of people saying that the bios on the motherboard don't support many gpu's. I was looking at getting an evga gtx 1050 (2 GB superclocked), I know that I can physicaly connect it to the motherboard but don't know if it will work due to the fact that the latest bios it can download are version 7.16. If someone knows if the graphics card will work, or if there is a way around this issue please let me know.
Computer info
CPU: core i3 2120 @3.3 GHZ
Ram: 4GB ddr3 (planning to upgrade this if the graphics card is compatible)
Motherboard: Foxconn 2ABF
Power Supply unit :FH-XD301MYF ( 3oo watt )
Product Number: LH121EA#ABU
it currently uses the integrated graphics which are nowhere near good enough for gaming. the card says it can run on a 300 watt power supply so that's fine, my only concern is if the bios support the card.

In your previous inquiry, which was answered by @erico, you stated you had the HP 3400. Now, your using the product number. Where you trying to be thoughtful?
Suggest you go here, and run run the program. Then report back either BIOS or UEFI. The gtx 1050 is a UEFI card. Also, what gaming are your interests? With a lowly I3 CPU chip, really do not expect fast frame rates.

His Foxconn motherboard has a legacy BIOS.
You can tell that by checking the available drivers.
If the motherboard's BIOS is the legacy type, there will be an HP Vision Hardware Diagnostic softpaq available.
The HP Vision Hardware Diagnostic is only for PCs with a legacy BIOS.
