Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My computer keeps freezing up and  a  message eminent hard disk failure appears. A diagnostic test shows Hard drive short dst failed. I can replace the hard drive myself if knew what to replace it with.

Hi,

 

Firstly the following article may help:

and secondly you need a normal HDD for desktop. You current HDD is 1.5TB 7200RPM, you can get a similar 1.5TB RPM or even 2TB 7200RPM more cache is better (more expensive). Please check

You can also use 2.5" HDD but you need to buy brackets
