HP ENVY 700-527C
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP ENVY 700-527C is upgraded from W8P(64b) to W10P(64b).

I want to add a fax/modem to the expansion slot, so I can fax & manage my phone line meta-data.

All my previous computers made this easy, but my old expansion card modems won't quite fit!  The notch is in the wrong place.

What's going on with this computer? How do I shop for a correct card?

Hi,

What is your old card. Your machine has

  • Expansion Slots:
    • 1 PCI Express x16 (Gen3.0)
    • 1 PCI Express x1 (Gen2.0)
    • 1 half-length mini card

You can use PCIe gen 2.0 for a modem fax card therefore you need a PCIe gen 2.0 modem/fax card or try USB option:
