Hi, I have a Pavillion p6338d desktop and was wondering if it could support an mSATA SSD.
I was visually checking the motherboard and found a PCIe mini card port.I am planning to upgrade the storage and need to know if I can use this port to install this mS200 SSD.

Hi,
From your link, it has the following expand slots
- One PCI Express x16
- Two PCI Express x1
- One PCI
- One PCI Express x1 minicard socket
It does not have mSATA slot. The following article may help:

or simply use standard 2.5" SSD.
Regards.

Thank you for your guide. It seems that I was confused about the physical port of the PCI express minicard slot that looked exactly the same as the mSATA pins. I will follow your suggestion to use a SATA SSD instead.
Since this desktop has no WiFi capabilities, will any PCI express minicard Wireless LAN card work for that slot?
