HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-5000i (8R3Q6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP ENVY DT TE01-5244 came with 16 GB of DDR4 3200MHZ ram.  I have an available empty slot which I would like to add an additional 16 GB DDR4 3200MHZ ram stick.  What are the DDR4 memory stick specifications that I need to avoid any possible system conflict with the wrong memory type?  Unbuffered or UDIMM memory?

@Portobelo881,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

It is best to use identical (same brand, model and capacity) RAM for best RAM performance.

To that end, let's figure out what you got: please type in: cmd in your Windows search bar, right-click on the Command Prompt system app, left-click on: Run as administrator, and click: Yes if you're asked for permission.

Now copy/paste/enter the following command:

wmic memorychip get devicelocator, manufacturer, partnumber

For example, using the PC I am using right now, I get:

Point is that it will show you the brand and part number of the RAM stick you want to buy.

You can provide me that information, and I can assist you locating the best deal available online.

Kind Regards,
