Hi everyone,

For the life of me, there are two devices in the device manager I can't get to update:

PCI Serial Port
SAS Controller

Under both device, that is the last 2 timestamp description that is noted:

PCI Serial Port

1)

Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1D3D&SUBSYS_1589103C&REV_05\3&11583659&0&B3 requires further installation.

2)

Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1D3D&SUBSYS_1589103C&REV_05\3&11583659&0&B3 was configured.

Driver Name: null
Class Guid: {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}
Driver Date:
Driver Version:
Driver Provider:
Driver Section:
Driver Rank: 0x0
Matching Device Id:
Outranked Drivers:
Device Updated: false
Parent Device: ACPI\PNP0A08\0

I believe it's the Vantec PCIe RAID Host Card (UGT-ST644R).  I've installed the Win10 drivers... but it won't seem to go away.

SAS Controller

1)

Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1D6B&SUBSYS_1589103C&REV_05\4&a95f37b&0&0088 was configured.

2)

Driver Name: null
Class Guid: {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}
Driver Date:
Driver Version:
Driver Provider:
Driver Section:
Driver Rank: 0x0
Matching Device Id:
Outranked Drivers:
Device Updated: false
Parent Device: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1D3E&SUBSYS_1589103C&REV_05\3&11583659&0&88

Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1D6B&SUBSYS_1589103C&REV_05\4&a95f37b&0&0088 requires further installation.

I'm not sure what I am support to do now... Any suggestions on how to solve this would be fantastic!

Cheers,
-Richard

Hi, Richard:

The PCI Serial Port device needs this driver...

This package contains the Intel Management Engine Software version 11.0 for the supported Workstation models and operating systems. This package installs the latest Management Engine Interface (MEI) and Serial-Over-LAN (SOL) drivers, as well as Intel Management and Security Status (IMSS), to support Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) versions 8.x and 9.x.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Try manually installing the driver if the auto install method doesn't work.

Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file which shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted.

%SRL_DeviceDesc% =  ComPort,  "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A13D&CC_0700"

The 2nd device is an Intel SAS Controller and needs this driver...

This package contains the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Enterprise (RSTe) Drivers and Graphical User Interface (GUI) for serial ATA (SATA) RAID controllers in supported workstation models that are running a supported Microsoft Windows Operating System.

Again, try manually installing the driver if the auto install doesn't work.
