I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF MY HP P7-1110 DESKTOP CAN BE UPGRADED TO 8GB OF MEMORY? MY OPERATING SYSTEM IS WINDOWS 10 BUT I CANT SEEM TO DETERMINE IF IT'S A 32 OR 64 BIT SYSTEM. IT HAS A 2 GENERATION i3-2120 PROCESSOR. ALSO WHAT TYPE OF MEMORY WILL WORK? BUFFERED? UNBUFFERED? CAN I USE ANY BRAND? THE PC IS OVER 5 YEARS OLD SO I DONT WANT TO BUY THE BEST, MOST EXPENSIVE MEMORY AVAILIABLE.....ANY IDEAS? THANKS

The original unit had WIN 7 64bit. So, your unit is 64 bit.  That said, it also came with 6GB of memory.  That would translate to (1) 4 GB and (1) 2 GB. As there are only 2 slots, and the max is 4 GB per slot, your only option would be to upgrade the 2GB stick to 4GB.  You will need to get the same 4GB module as they need to be matching pairs.  Use this to determine what is installed.  The performance increase will be marginal.  The real culprit is the lowly i3-2120.
