Product: HP Envy Phoenix 860-000nd
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Dear HP Community,
this is my first topic ever,
so today i played some games on this PC for like an hour or two and out of nothing my PC shuts down. i heard a light popping sound. at first i thought it was the electricity that went out but i realized that it was the PC.
after surfing through forums i still couldn't find the solution to this and the HP service desk is closed at the moment.
i've tried plugging it somewhere else and i found out that everytime i plugged it in after i held the on/off button the PSU light would light up. it would go out again after trying to turn the PC on.
this is all i know for now and i hope to seek some more solutions through this forum.
Sincerely yours,
Zoijim

Hi Zoijim
A light popping sound followed by an abrupt shutdown suggest either the power supply has failed or your PC was hit by an AC power spike. A failing power supply may also inject a power spike on all connected components.
Contact HP if you are in warranty.
Your PC will have to be examined to determine what components have been damaged.
The power supply is the first point of contact. But other components may have have damaged.
Grzy
