I'm trying to find some more detailed information on the Pegatron/Odense motherboard using Core i7-6700 CPU.
Specifically - SATA3 support, i.e. I'm looking to add an additional SSD to boot OS etc, and keep the existing 5400rpm HDD for storage.
SATA3 ports on mainboard - is there one available for additional SSD
Internal drive bay - is there on available ?
Chassis power - is there capacity to add additional SSD ?
Can't find detailed spec anywhere for Odense m/board.
Thanks!

It appears the Odense m/b has 3 SATA III ports on it. Your computer also appears to have two(2) internal 5.25" drive bays. As for chassis power, follow the instructions in the Upgrading and Servicing Guide to determine if power is available. You may also be able to purchase a SATA power spliter if needed.

Hi,
another question related to the same motherboard:
I have been looking for the M.2 slot (for an SSD expansion) but I cannot find it while it should be there according to the specs.

kind regards,
Stefan

thanks, I was afraid of that when looking at the board. I could not find any slot that fits.
However....the information is there:
http://support.hp.com/nl-nl/document/c04790427
Am I reading this wrong or is the information incorrect ?
I have bought the M.2. SSD EVO 850 based on the specs I had read before the pavilion 550-174 arrived ...so I'm quite disappointed...
kind regards,
Stefan

The Motherboard's Silkscreen (HP web site photo) shows 2 locations (expansion slors 2 and 3) where an M.2 socket could be installed. Per the HP motherboard specifications (web link below) -- One M.2 socket 1, key A
Conficting infirmation of HP Support and Parts pages, whether this Pegatron IPM17-00 "Odense" motherboard uses the H170 or H110 chipset. Based on its entry level features, most likely the Intel H110 chipset.

The USB 2.0 headers (2x6) used on this motherboard are not the Intel standard 2x5 config .... but no HP details posted. Big Dave hinted (2013) that these 2 pins MAY be for charging, when the computer is in sleep modes
The additional pins MAY also be used for Addition Current Support (Charging USB 2.0 port) at the USB connector due to current limits of connector (and wire conductors). Recent tablets / Apple iPads have higher charging current demand (mA) than smartphones / Apple iPhones.

HI,
If the OPs PC has the Odense motherboard then the PC model is probably the HP Pavilion 550-179NA. The specifications are listed here. There may be other models of the 550-179 using the Odense motherboard but "NA" seems to fit.
Chipset is confirmed as the H110.
