Hp Pavilion Slimeline 400-224
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade the memory in my HP pavilion slimline 400-224.  After opening the case, how do I determine how many memory slots are available?  The current memory board is SK Hynix 4G 1Rx8 PC3L 12800S -11 -13-B4.   There appears to be another slot just underneath it and out aways.

Can you tell me if this machine has one or two slots for memory....  Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Here are the specs on your machine. It allows two 8 GB modules.  You stated 4 GB installed.  That would jive with your visual (only 1 modules installed). If It were mine, I'd opt for a matching 4 GB module, and be done with it.

HP PartSurfer does not list the SK Hynix 4G 1Rx8 PC3L 12800S -11 -13-B4.  Another curious point, the specs list 6 GB installed. That would be a 4GB and 2GB modules.

A quick question.....

The slot for the 2nd module, does it look like the module fits in backwards, meaning the opposit way as the other module.  I notice that the slot on the 2nd module is on the opposite side of the slot.
