Hi,
I've had my HP Pavillion p6-2489ea for a few years now and I think time is starting to catch up with it and I feel the graphics card (Geforce GT 630) lets it down when I am playing games - which is the primary use of the computer.
Since high end PC's are expensive, do you think adding a new graphics card would significantly improve gaming performance?
If I was to upgrade the card, would this be a straightforward process and are most cards compatible with my machine?
My Processor: Intel i5 @ 3.10 GHz (4 CPU's)
I'm not sure what the Motherboard is called sorry.
Thanks Very Much

Most cards are compatible with your PC because of the predominance of UEFI BIOS video cards in the market. your PC does have a UEFI BIOS. Your motherboard is a Joshua
There are a number of video card manufacturers who produce cards that are UEFI & Legacy vBIOS compatible. I highly recommend that you purchase one that gives you the option.
An upgraded video card with more power and memory requires an upgraded PSU. That is because of the requirement for one or two PCIe power connectors to provide additional power for the card.
Since you use the PC primarily for gaming, you should consider upgrading to 16GB of installed memory.
