At489av HP compaq 6000 pro

Hi i just bought 4 gigs of rams ond applied it on the motherboard but when i start my pc it makes a noise and it wont start, can any vody help me?

Hi:

 

If it beeps 5 times and the front power led flashes red, then the memory is either defective, incompatible, or you did not seat it properly.

 

Finding the right memory for the 6000 Pro is very hard.  You must make sure you get low density memory, or it won't work.

 

I used these 4 GB memory chips in my 8000 Elite, which is pretty much the same machine as the 6000 Pro.
